Bishop Barron on Jairus and the Widow

I’ve heard many homilies on Jairus and the widow over the decades, but none of them stuck with me the way this one has stuck with me for more than three months now.

If I were God, I certainly would have my priorities straight.
I certainly wouldn’t be dawdling with a woman —
yes, I know she’s suffering,
but not from a life-threatening illness.
She’s been suffering for twelve years.

My daughter is actively dying.

Why isn’t he doing it the way he should be doing it?
