  1. Qui sol per ævum prǽnites,
    o Christe, nobis vívidus,
    ad te canéntes vértimur,
    te géstientes pérfrui.

  2. Tu Patris es sciéntia
    Verbúmque per quod ómnia
    miro refúlgent órdine
    mentésque nostras áttrahunt.

  3. Da lucis ut nos fílii
    sic ambulémus ímpigri,
    ut Patris usque grátiam
    mores et actus éxprimant.

  4. Sincéra præsta ut prófluant
    ex ore nostro iúgiter,
    et veritátis dúlcibus
    ut excitémur gáudiis.

  5. Sit, Christe, rex piíssime,
    tibi Patríque glória
    cum Spíritu Paráclito,
    in sempitérna sǽcula. Amen.
  1. For us, O Christ,
    you vividly outshine the sun,
    desiring to enjoy you fully,
we are turned to you as we sing.

  2. You are the Father’s knowledge
and the Word through whom all things
    shine with a wonderful arrangement
    and attract our minds.

  3. Grant that we might be children of light,
    so as to walk unweariedly,
that our customs and deeds might ever express
    the Father’s grace.

  4. Grant that sincere words
might flow constantly from our mouths,
and that we might be roused up
with the sweet joys of truth.

  5. Glory to you, Christ, most blessed king,
    and to the Father
    with the Holy Spirit
    into eternal ages. Amen.
