you vividly outshine the sun,
desiring to enjoy you fully,
we are turned to you as we sing.
- You are the Father’s knowledge
and the Word through whom all things
shine with a wonderful arrangement
and attract our minds.
- Grant that we might be children of light,
so as to walk unweariedly,
that our customs and deeds might ever express
the Father’s grace.
- Grant that sincere words
might flow constantly from our mouths,
and that we might be roused up
with the sweet joys of truth.
- Glory to you, Christ, most blessed king,
